Our charcoal water filter sticks are carefully handmade in Kishu, Japan by skilled artisans using the traditional Japanese Binchotan technique. This technique has been used to make charcoal water filter sticks in Japan for over 300 years and creates one of the purest, finest and most effective types of charcoal sticks you will find.
Our regular stick purifies up to 2 liters of water at a time, which makes it the perfect size for larger bottles and pitchers that are kept in the fridge. Also available in small.
How to use:
- Simply fill your bottle or pitcher with water, add the charcoal stick and wait a couple of hours for it to work. Leaving it overnight is ideal but you will notice a difference in just 1 hour!
- 100% kishu binchotan charcoal
- 15 cm x 2-2.5 cm (5.9 in x 0.8-1 in).
- Boil your Kishu Binchotan water filter stick for about 5-10 minutes every 3 weeks to keep its pores open. Allow it to dry for about 30 minutes before reusing.
Replace your charcoal stick every 3-4 months.
