Ingredients explained // Shampoo and conditioner bars

They say good things come in small packages and that is certainly true when speaking about our shampoo and conditioner bars!

To help you understand the ingredients of the bars a bit better, we have broken down the ingredient lists and explained what each ingredient offers, so you don't have to have a science degree to understand what goes onto your skin! We are all about transparency and we want to show you that you don't have to be afraid of some ingredients just because they have long names or are difficult to pronounce!

Shampoo bar:

  • Sodium cocoyl isethionate: An extremely gentle and sulfate-free detergent derived from coconut oil.
  • Cocamidopropyl betaine and Decyl glucoside: Foaming agents derived from coconut oil that also work as mild co-surfactants

  • Cocoa butter & Shea butter: Nourish the scalp and soften the hair
  • Sodium lactate: Helps to make the shampoo bar solid as well as increasing hydration
  • Caprylyl/Capryl glucoside: ECOCERT Certified foaming agents derived from coconut and fruit sugars

  • GF Ecosafe preservative: As the bar is in contact with water, it contains a preservative to keep you and the bar safe from bacteria etc. This is one of the most green preservatives you will find
